Website Revisions

The changes I made to my blog were mainly the revisions that Wix recommended for me to make. I am still learning how to navigate the site and it was very helpful that they gave me a comprehensive, step-by-step guide on how to make these changes. First, I changed my website design from Elegant to Minimal. I am into the clean look that it provides and its straightforward font. Next, I changed the color palette of my site to include a darker grey as I think it works better with the images that I have chosen to include on my site for my blog posts. Next, I changed the animation of my heading of my site to appear in a fade. This is a fun aspect that I had never even thought about before. I also changed the animation of the main image on my home page. When scrolling down my site, the image moves with the page. It is a cool addition that I would have never noticed if I had not changed it in my backend. Finally, I added an ‘About the Blog’ section, which gives my site’s visitors more information about me.
I was considering changing the image on my home page that Wix provided me with. However, I decided against it. I have grown to really like it because of the blend of colors and textures. The woman’s pink sweater is a nice contrast from the dark green of the trees, and adds a pop of color to my site. She is looking away from the camera, which adds a sense of mystery that is intriguing to me. What is she looking at, what is she looking for? What am I looking for? Hopefully, this blog will help me find my voice. I am looking forward to writing about things that interest me.
